The Ceremony was opened with the Exchange and Posting of Colors by a Color Guard consisting of members of the 1-339th Infantry Regiment and Polar Bear Memorial Association wearing Polar Bear uniforms. The Commander of the 1-339th, LTC Brendt Vitale, is at the left foreground and to his right is Command Sgt. Major Roscoe Mayfield.
The 1-339th Rifle Squad fired three rifle volleys, which was followed by "Taps".
The Color Guard retires the Colors.
The Polar Bear Monument following the ceremony.
The 1-339th Rifle Squad allowed some of the younger attendees to hold one of the rifles they had used earlier during the ceremony.
